Fats Found In Chocolates

The question is doesn’t chocolate have a lot of fat too? Well, some of the fats in chocolates do not have impact on our cholesterol! Indeed, there are 1/3 oleic acid, 1/3 stearic acid and 1/3 palmitic acid in chocolates.

Here are some information about these fats. The oleic acid is a healthy monounsaturated fat that is also found in olive oil. The stearic acid is a saturated fat. Although it is a saturated fat, it has a neutral effect on cholesterol, based on a recent research. On the other hand, the Palmitic acid is a saturated fat which raises cholesterol and heart disease risk.
